Here at Happy Living Punta we aim to provide clients with the most up to date information about investing in the beautiful Caribbean beach town of Punta Cana.

Real estate prices currently have skyrocketed globally, but this presents an interesting opportunity to go global.

Below we aim to inform people of why Punta Cana is poised to become a great location for investment.  Whether you are looking at Punta Cana for an investment or simply just looking to have an amazing Caribbean vacation - below we show you why Punta Cana is the place to be!

Dominican Republic

Everything you need to know about Punta Cana

Punta cana investment and interest is booming at the moment.  Investments are coming in from world-renowned hotel groups like Nobu Hotels (check out our coverage on the news with more details about the project here).

Projects are starting up in Punta Cana, left and right.  We have massive development areas like Vista Cana, already developed areas like Punta Cana Village and the resort area Bavaro is seeing more and more commercial and residential real estate investments.  If after reading this you are ready to get started on your Punta Cana journey, check out our Consulting Services and we can help you get started!

Infrastructure Expansion

Real estate is not the only sector getting invested within the Dominican Republic and specifically in Puntacana.  Alongside the real estate investments in the area, there are many companies dedicated to the growth and advancement of the region.  Here are a couple of examples:

The Punta Cana-Macao Energy Consortium (CEPM) is the private energy company that provides energy services to the Punta Cana-Bávaro and Bayaíbe area of the Dominican Republic.  This company has invested US$140 million dollars to expand the power generation capacity for its clients and they supply 98% of the energy used by the large hotel chains in the area.  Their goal?  To help Bávaro-Punta Cana to become one of the first smart cities in the Caribbean.

In their effort to commit to green energy, the consortium has replaced 99% of its fleet of gas vehicles to electric vehicles.

For more information on the coverage, check out the Gal Time article linked here.

Having private investment in energy services is very advantageous for investments and for day to day living.  As someone who has lived in the Dominican Republic before, I can tell you that the energy services are not always reliable.  The country suffers from widespread blackouts from time to time which can negatively affect your home appliances, etc.  When investing in the Bávaro-Punta Cana area, having your electricity supplied by CEPM is a positive thing!
